This year’s National Agriculture Day was extra special here at Mt. Ridge Farms. We had the pleasure of welcoming Congressman Joyce and Representative Torren Ecker to our family farm here in Biglerville.
Sharing Our Story
As a fifth-generation farm that has been family-owned and operated since 1936, we’re proud to grow a wide variety of apples for our wholesale customers. During their visit, we shared not only our story but also our concerns as growers, from the challenges of running a family farm to the things that make it so rewarding.
It meant a lot to us that both Congressman Joyce and Representative Ecker took the time to listen, ask questions, and engage with what life is really like for farmers in our community.
Why Visits Like This Matter
Agriculture is at the heart of Biglerville and communities like ours across the country. Visits like this remind us how important it is to have leaders who understand and support the families behind the food we grow.
We’re grateful to Congressman Joyce and Representative Ecker for spending time with us, listening to our stories, and encouraging the work we do every day here at Mt. Ridge Farms.
