Mt. Ridge Farms Welcomes Ukrainian Apple Growers for Orchard Tour
On September 21, 2026, Mt. Ridge Farms welcomed a delegation of apple growers from Ukraine to our orchards in Adams County, Pennsylvania.
Organized through Penn State, the visit provided an opportunity to share some of the equipment, technology, and growing practices we use in our daily orchard operations.
During the tour, visitors were introduced to several pieces of specialized orchard equipment, including our Hedger, Bin Scout, and Root Pruner. The group also had the opportunity to learn about our approach to orchard management and how mechanization helps improve efficiency throughout the growing season.

We enjoyed exchanging ideas and experiences with fellow apple growers from across the world. Visits like these remind us that while growing practices may differ from one region to another, we share a common goal of producing quality fruit while continuing to improve our operations.
Thank you to Penn State and our visitors from Ukraine for taking the time to visit Mt. Ridge Farms. We appreciated the opportunity to share our operation and connect with fellow growers!
