David Slaybaugh

David A. Slaybaugh 4th generation to Mt. Ridge Farms started working on the farm as a young boy helping his grandfather, and father. Dave, now President of Mt. Ridge Farms has learned many trades to running a successful fruit farm. Knowing at a young age that fruit farming was his passion and life long career. Dave is a world traveler, attending several international fruit conventions. Dave utilizes the knowledge he gains from attending these events to implement progressive forward thinking farming. Managing sales, planning and implementing crop protection are some of the hats David wears in the family business.
Blake Slaybaugh
Vice President, Orchard/Harvest Crew Manager
Blake Slaybaugh, son to David and Wendy Slaybaugh, grew up at Mt. Ridge Farms. Learning the ropes of fruit farming at a very young age. Blake interned in Washington State to learn the fruiting industry. After a year of studies and field experiences, Blake returned to the family farm to apply his knowledge. Blake has attended several IFTA (International Fruit Tree Association) conventions. Traveled to many parts of the world with his father to explore new apples, planting systems and automated equipment. Blake manages the orchard and harvest crews, along with many other tasks.
Wendy Slaybaugh
Office Manager, Secretary, Treasurer
Wendy Slaybaugh, wife to David Slaybaugh, joined the family business in 2000. Prior to working for Mt. Ridge Farms, Wendy has many years of experience in the fruit brokering business. As a child Wendy grew up on her family fruit farm in Adams County, a neighboring farm to Mt. Ridge. Wendy now runs the office working to comply to all the regulations there are in the fruit farming business. Writing up the farms' H2A contracts, accounts payable and receivable are just a few job details Wendy maintains for the farm.
Terra Slaybaugh
Administrative Assistant, Food Safety Manager
Terra Slaybaugh, wife to Blake Slaybaugh, is the newest addition to the Slaybaugh clan and to Mt. Ridge Farms. She has a background in nutrition which fell quite perfectly with the apple industry. After working in the nutrition field for a few years, Terra began to helping in the office at the family farm. At the farm Terra manages our Food Safety Program, mapping, payroll and social media.
